This programme has been running throughout the year for several years. Whilst mainly targeting over 15 rural schools in Manicaland the idea is to give children an interactive experience from outside their community. The project has involved teachers, musicians, business leaders as well as the team leader. The idea is to help children feel positive about themselves and their future potential by applying themselves more fully.

The schools Kits

The project has with strong support from donors been able to distribute hundreds of school kits to various year groups but in particular grade 7 to help with exam completion and transition to secondary school. Pencils, pens, crayons, rubbers, rulers, notebooks provde a core alongside a variety of basic reading materials. The project also has an Early Learning Years support activity set.

Chengetai Special Needs school

This special school in Mutare has received special support through provision of clothing, for winter and summer. Weekly supplies of bread, eggs, mealie meal and other food stuffs to assist the borders and day scholars have been delivered. Budgets have been very tight from public resources.
